Puradisc™ 25 GD Disposable Syringe filters provide faster and easier filtration of high debris, hard to filter solutions. They are made of multilayered, binder-free, glass microfiber filters in a fused Polypropylene housing. The filter media used in these filters is WhatmangmF 150, which combines two glass microfiber filters in one. Manufactured from 100% borosilicate glass microfiber, the filter is unique in its construction: a coarse layer on top, meshed with a fine layer below. This state-of-the-art technique allows for a higher particulate loading capacity, faster flow rate and extended life of the filter along with high filtration efficiency. Compared to a single density pre-filter,gmF 150 nearly doubles the volume of the sample filtered. Compared to an unprotected membrane, the volume of sample filtered can be from three to seven times greater. Syringe barrels fit securely into the female Luer Lock fitting. The Puradisc™ 25 GD is available in 1 ?M and 2 ?M pore sizes. Typical applications include HPLC, TLC or GC sample clarification requiring 1 ?M and 2 ?M particle retention.
