Polycap™ AS is a unique product recommended for filtering aqueous solutions. It combines a glass microfiber (GMF) pre-filter and a nylon membrane, prolonging the life of the filter and allowing larger volumes and difficult samples to be filtered easily. This microporous membrane is inherently hydrophilic and biosafe. It also has low extractables as well as excellent flow rates. The microfiber depth media is a prefilter of unsurpassed quality. It is radiation and autoclave stable. Prefilters are included in all Polycap™ AS capsules to prolong the life of the device. All bonds are fused; no glues, adhesives, metals, epoxies or extraneous materials are used in Polycap AS. The Polycap™ AS family is available in three filtration ratings and in two sizes. These capsules offer several key advantages which includes sterilization. Typical applications include water for laboratory use, salt solutions, cleaning/rinsing solutions, immunologicals, virus suspensions, buffers, nutrients, ophthalmic solutions, irrigation solutions and many more. All Polycap™ AS devices are vented, sterile and non-pyrogenic. Polycap™ 36 devices have a 400 square centimeter filtration area while Polycap™ 75 devices have an 850 square centimenter filtration area. Connection codes: (S) = stepped barb, (¼ IN to 3/8 inch) tubing or male luer, (SB) = stepped barb, (3/8 IN to ½ inch) tubing, (M) = (¼ inch) MNPT in and (½ inch) stepped barb out, (H) = (½ inch) hose barb in and stepped barb out.
