Cell Culture Systems are used for large scale cell culture and production of biomaterials such as vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and interferon. Cell Factory™ Systems provide a large growth surface in a small area with easy handling and low risk of contamination. A cell factory system is a stack of chambers sealed together into a single unit and sharing common vent and fill ports. Harvesting of media for secreted materials may be performed repeatedly. Filling and emptying a cell factory is a closed-system operation. No ancillary equipment required (as in roller apparatus). Scale up from laboratory experiments through pilot plant to industrial scale is straight forward when using Nunc tissue culture products.
